And Afterwards at...
13 March 2017 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

It is the start of the fourth series and Harold is about to get hitched at last. Even though his son is approaching middle age, Albert is not happy even though Harold has met all the conditions he wanted such as staying with them.

However as his bride to be Melanie walks down the alter she gets the jitters and much to Albert's happiness she jilts Harold leaving him distraught. Later on as Harold drowns his sorrows his relatives turn up wanting their wedding presents back.

Lots of pathos in this episode as Harold tries to overcome his shock but Albert can barely conceal his pleasure at times apart from arguing with Melanie's mother and later his own siblings.
