Very good but rushed.
19 May 2013 | by MartinHaferSee all my reviews

"Memories of Allison" is one of those episodes with a good idea, but it came off as so rushed that it really didn't live up to its potential. I would have loved it if the events in this one unfolded over a period of many weeks or months.

The show begins with a confused and frightened woman (Sharon Acker) falling down an escalator in front of a crowd--including Dr. Quincy. When she awakens in the hospital, she has amnesia and cannot remember who she is. Dr. Quincy spends practically every waking moment with her trying to help her figure out who she is. Unfortunately, some other folks DO know who she is and they are trying to kill her! What's next? See the show and find out for yourself.

The plot is very good and engaging. But Quincy goes from meeting the woman to becoming obsessed with and in love with her way too fast--especially since he really isn't sure who she is. It seemed a bit unprofessional and creepy as well. Having this relationship occur with a more natural pace would have enhanced the show quite a bit. Still, well worth seeing.

By the way, this was Sharon Acker's third appearance on "Quincy".
