Margaret's mother: Hello? Margaret, this is your mum speaking. I'm 'prised I'm not here now, but that's because I'm somewhere else. I say, I'm somewhere else! But I bet you'll both be up here soon, won't you? The pair of you. So, I'll see you then. Hello?
[beep sounds]
Margaret Meldrew: Hello, mum. It's Wednesday at six o'clock. I'm just ringing to say that all being well we'll be up there Sunday afternoon about three, but I'll speak to you soon. Bye-bye.

Mr Meldrew be groovy!!
14 December 2019 | by Sleepin_DragonSee all my reviews

Victor employs Mr Kazanzi to do some work in the Garden, he's also busy with his Aquarium, and collection of exotic marine life.

It's an iconic episode, some of the show's funniest, most memorable moments. So many to list, but the dog phone, crab on the scrotum and head under the pot are the best.

The show had taken on a more surreal tone, with all manner of crazy events. As always we go from the super funny to the super serious, the moment where Margaret explains the tragic news to Victor is a heart breaking moment, I've never known a show have the ability to make you laugh then cry with such ease. This show was exceptional.

Daniel Peacock is very funny as Mr Kazanzi, like a mountain back gorilla, was that all him?

A mix of intense humour and deep sadness, one of the very best. 9/10
