Sally Field's Guest Spot
7 February 2018 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

Peter (Michael Callan) once again asks his "occasional wife" Greta (Patricia Harty) to break a date for a dinner party given by his boss Mr. Brahms (Jack Collins). The guest of honor is Mrs. Zogerdorfer (Cathy Lewis, "Hazel") and her teenage daughter Nancy (Sally Field, "Gidget", "The Flying Nun", "Forrest Gump"). Mrs. Zogerdorfer introduces Nancy as an actress and wishes to "launch her career on Broadway". She hopes Nancy can have the acting career that she was unable to have. Mr. Brahms asks Peter to "make her a star". Peter visits his old college buddy and Off-Broadway producer Martin Martin (Severn Darden, "Battle for the Planet of the Apes") along with Greta. "Marty" has his own theater in Greenwich Village and agrees to audition the "no talent" and discourage her from acting. He tests her as the female lead in his next production "Sunflowers and Sadism". Will the wealthy Mrs. Zogerdorfer get her way?
