As Steed, Purdey and Gambit race to catch up with the long lost agent known only to them as 'Flyer', the White Rat ans his accomplices do the same in order to silence him. Ian Hendry shines here

That's so unusual to find a sub character, a supporting role having a so interesting place in this story. He nearly hides Steed, Purdey and Gambit. A real performance that permits him to handle the whole story. I like this topic, which has nothing to do with the usual AVENGERS atmosphere. I speak of course of Ian Hendry's character, a lost man trying to regain his self honor. A very moving character. i will put this episode aside the rest of the series, at least this season. Maybe not better but just different.
