The big Switcheroo

***SPOILERS*** Let. Mike Haines, Jack Warden, gets a tip from one of his stooges that big time drug dealer Peter Lessing, Hugh Franklin, is about to leave his Atlantic Cruise ship docked on the Hudson River with a sh*t load of heroin to hand off to his un-named contact to distribute to the local junkie & heroin users. Getting his top or main man Det. Johnny Corso, Frank Converse, to follow Lessing and see what he's up to he's spotted sitting in the park next to his contact Murray Standish,James Hall, whom he slips a note to where the pack of heroin to dish out to his druggies is hidden on the ship.

With Lessing hiding the heroin on the ship and not taking it with him offshore, to keep from it being discovered on him by the local police, he now plans to have Standish acting as the ship photographer get the drugs without the police suspecting him of doing it. It's Det. Corso who screws things up for both Lassing & Standish by catching Standish in the act of getting the heroin which later leads to him being bopped on the head and knocked out cold by Standish.

***SPOILERS**** With Corso soon recovering and the police lead by Let. Haines storming on board the cruise ship Standish-Facing hard time behind bars-in a both desperate and stupid move threatens to jump off the ship with the heroin in order to make his getaway. With the police holding their fire Standish loses his footing and droops to his death some 100 feet below into the Hudson River. The both heroin and Standish's body were recovered by the police but the main man in this story or TV episode Peter Lessing got away Scot-free. That in him not taking part, like his partner Standish, in trying to smuggle the heroin off the ship and ending up dead with his neck broken.
