Character error

Parker calling Jamison on the radio after the Elm Street mailbox vandalism identifies himself as Sergeant Parker. His uniform has two stripes (indicative of a Corproal), whereas a Sergeant has three stripes. In the prior briefing, Bubba referred to Parker as Officer Parker. The correct rank and title for Parker is Corporal Parker.

Continuity

Prior to the truck exploding, the man in the Camaro pulls up diagonally from the passenger rear of the truck. As we see his camera view, the driver front of the truck is seen from the front of the truck. That part of the truck would not have been visible from his location, all he would have been able to photograph would be the passenger rear portion of the truck..

Factual errors

Ronald Cousins and Brian Moss both said the Chevy Camaro belonging to Moss had a 351 engine. A 351 is a Ford engine, while a Chevy would have a 350 cubic inch engine. Only one cubic inch difference in size, but a completely different engine.

The fire chief reported the gas tank was full prior to the explosion. The explosive part of gasoline is the vapor, so the large explosion shown was more in line with a nearly empty gas tank.

The photo Bubba shows Moss was seized illegally without consent or a warrant, so it would not be admissible in court against Moss.
