Tony is about to go on his first extended vacation in years. Just before he leaves, Jeannie arrives at the base to inform him that she has taken care of all of his luggage by shrinking it. While they are talking, Tony hears someone enter the room and has Jeannie blink herself into a safe that is to go to the moon for future expeditionary missions and he closes it. The good news is that it is Roger, but the bad news is that when Tony closed the safe he accidentally locked Jeannie in. They decide to try to break into the safe, but before they do they find out that it is wired with explosives and that opening it without the proper combination will set it off. They then decide to enlist the aid of a couple of safe-crackers to try to open the safe before it is sent to the moon. Written by Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>
"Genie, Genie, Who's Got the Genie?" kicks off a well remembered four part storyline that lasted throughout January 1968. Majors Nelson and Healey are set to leave for a two week vacation in Italy, but complications result from Jeannie becoming accidentally locked in a NASA safe that's about to be launched to the moon at dawn. Dr. Bellows confirms that no one has the combination, and confined as she is Jeannie is trapped and unable to use her powers just as she'd be inside her bottle. The instruction manual reveals that the safe is impregnable, ready to explode from tampering with a wrong combination or use of a hammer or mallet. Tony and Roger search for a professional safecracker in a local watering hole, coming across the Professor (Edward Andrews) and his confederate Charley (Lou Antonio). Major Nelson is forced to watch the launch from the control room, unable to prevent the safe from going up as scheduled.
