Trivia

Although Marlyn Mason's character has the same name, Lily Frankel, used in her previous appearance, Hogan's Heroes: Six Lessons from Madame LaGrange (1970), it is clear that Frankel and Hogan do not know each other here, and therefore Mason is playing a different character. See more »

Goofs

Lily Frankel (Marilyn Mason) and Hogan do not seem to know each other even though they met and even had a brief affair in Hogan's Heroes: Six Lessons from Madame LaGrange. See more »

Quotes

General der Infanterie Albert Burkhalter: I'm going to personally fire this rocket at England.
Col. Wilhelm Klink: General Burkhalter, may I have the honor please, sir?
General der Infanterie Albert Burkhalter: Of course, Klink.
[Klink fires the rocket which goes immediately off course]
General der Infanterie Albert Burkhalter: Klink! England is that way!
Col. Wilhelm Klink: I can't understand what went wrong General Burkhalter.
Col. Robert E. Hogan: What's over that way?
General der Infanterie Albert Burkhalter: My house, for one thing.
Col. Robert E. Hogan: [the rocket crashes in the distance and explodes] Well, General, I've always thought it was a lousy neighborhood anyway.

With this episode (which actually was not the last episode filmed since all shows were aired out of order) the series comes to a unceremonious end. And in this final show, the heroes are still doing their best to sabotage the Germans and hopefully shorten the war.

In this episode the Germans have three rocket launchers in the area of the Stalag. Two are being followed by the underground and one is still missing. But without delay the third launcher happens to arrive inside the gates of the prison camp making the location simple. The only problem is that Hogan cannot direct the Allied bombers inside the camp without killing most of the men, so Hogan is going to have to come up with a plan to destroy the one launcher that is located in the Stalag.

Hogan gets help from a beautiful underground woman named Lily Frankel. (Lily had also played in season 5 episode 'Six Lessons From Madame LeGrange' but no mention of her previous appearance seemed to be mentioned) Lily will help Hogan, from an unoccupied cabin, to help locate the two other launchers and direct the Allied bombing. But it will be difficult when the Germans have picked up Hogan's transmissions and are closing in on the location.

This episode ends exactly the same as all the other shows in the collection. Not even a hint that this could be the very last airing of the wonder series as it fades to black in the usual fashion. But after six years, which is a long tenure for a comedy sitcom, the series comes to an end. But we, as viewers, still have the 168 episodes to cherish the time in history.
