William learns that getting fired in French sounds just the same as it does in English. The Fields know they can always go back to England if the worst comes to the worst. When they learn who's renting the farmhouse next door, it soon does.
William is made redundant, though M. Dax agrees to waive the rent if he will help with his tax return. Hester decides she needs to go back to England as Emma is about to give birth and the Fields make it back in time to see new granddaughter Holly. They are in two minds as to whether to remain in England...until they learn that the Richardsons have bought the Trendles' house and are their new next-door neighbours.
