Storyline

Local celebrity and television show host, Claudio the Clown, thinks that Sister Bertrille would be perfect person to have as a guest on his children's show. Initially nervous, Sister Bertrille is a hit and Claudio's manager, Manuel Montique, offers her her own show. After discussing the pros and cons with the other sisters and the Reverend Mother, Sister Bertrille is conflicted, but ultimately declines due to what she imagines to be the trappings of fame. To ease her turning down the offer, she demands everything as part of her contract. She ends up getting what she wants: she doesn't need to sign the contract and Montique ends up providing a donation to the convent. Written by Huggo

"Songs by Bertrille"
11 September 2018 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

The convent is holding their annual end of school party. Claudio the Clown (ventriloquist Paul Winchell) walks by to see Sister Bertrille entertain the kids and asks her to appear on his TV show. She accepts the $200 job so she can donate it to the convent, but battles her nerves to be in front of the cameras. The producer Manuel Montique (Lawrence Montaigne) is so taken with her performance of "A Whole New World" that he asks Reverend Mother Placido to allow Sister Bertrille to have her own show called "Songs by Bertrille". Sister Bertrille daydreams of what it would be like, influencing her decision.
