"Deadman's hand" mentioned twice in the storyline, is chronologically out of order. 25 years after the 1859 duel, on August 2, 1876. Wild Bill Hickock was murdered, holding a poker hand of aces and eights, which later came to be known as "the Deadman's hand." See more
