Mystery Mile: Part 1
1 March 2019 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Campion is on a ship. Crossing the Atlantic, during a magic act he saves the life of American Judge Lobbett.

The judge is a marked man as he has been giving harsh sentences to members of a gang known as Simister. No one knows the gang leader but the Judge thinks he is close to his identity.

Arriving in England, the judge and his family are sent to an East Anglian country home on a road called Mystery Mile. Danger though is not far away, the local vicar kills himself after he had his palm read. Later the judge disappears.

The pacing is a lot better in this first episode. Right off the bat, Campion makes a nuisance of himself knowing something will go wrong with the magic act. There are a lot of suspicious characters that adds to the mystery.
