The Legend of Lottie's Gold
15 February 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Sally Kellerman plays entertainer Lottie Crabtree come back to Virginia City as an adult performer. Years ago as a child and part of her mother's troupe she played here when the place was one rough mining town courtesy of the Comstock Lode and the troupe was paid in bullion. Outlaws tried to rob them, but came up empty.

So the Virginia City urban legend about the bullion never leaving and it's in the vicinity. So when her drunken leading man is killed and Dan Blocker originally suspected that starts a whole new investigation.

Lorne Greene proves to be quite the detective. There is a simple explanation for the whereabouts of the bullion and that leads to the one man could have been the murderer.

This was a nicely done story and a couple of songs from Sally Kellerman is an added treat.
