Oz comes to LA with a gift from Buffy. She has sent Angel the the Ring of Amara, which makes any vampire wearing it invincible. Unfortunatly for Angel, Spike has also arrived in town and he's determined to get the ring for himself. Angel soon finds himself in deep trouble and it's up to Doyle, Oz and Cordy to save him.
Did You Know?
In the alley, Spike tells Angel "caught me fair and square, white hat." This appears to be a reference to classic Westerns, where the bad guy wears a black hat and the good guy wears a white one. A reference that he continues a bit and Angel plays along with, taking the roll of the "good guy sheriff." However this isn't the first time we have heard this term being used to describe someone going up against vampires in the Buffyverse. In Buffy's "The Wish" the White Hats are the Wishverse version of the Scooby Gang. While Angel was not a member of this group, Oz - who guest stars in this episode - was. See more
When the torturer captures Angel by slinging a chain round his neck, Angel is seen writhing and clawing at his neck even after the initial shock, even though vampires don't need to breathe in the Buffy universe. See more
