Did You Know?

When referring to Charles Chaplin marrying a young girl, Archie says that "They chased him out of the country for that." Though in reality Chaplin's public image had been tarnished in the United States due to his vocal activism and political stances in the 1940's and early 1950's. His activism led some to question whether he was a communist or a communist sympathizer, which in the "Red Scare" era of McCarthyism was enough to turn political sentiment against him. Though he had lived and worked in the country for decades he was not a citizen, thus when Chaplin sailed to London, England for the premiere of his film Limelight (1952) he was informed that his re-entry permit to the United States had been revoked by the U.S. Attorney General. Archie's brother remarries
9 May 2018 | by Jimmy_the_Gent4See all my reviews

Archie is looking to go into business with his brother Fred, who shows up with his new very young wife.

This is the second and last appearance of Fred and this is a little better than the last one. It is also one of the few amusing episodes of Season 9 though it can't compare to the glory days of Seasons 1 to 5. It begins with some funny banter between Archie and Edith and Archie goes through the roof when he sees Fred's 18 year old wife.
