The neighborhood mugger
18 February 2014 | by stones78See all my reviews

This show was up and running in excellent form around this time, and this episode was no exception, as Edith loses a memento left to her by her grandmother. Archie sees this as an opportunity to gain a color television set, although I guess this is called insurance fraud by today's standards, even though what he doesn't know was that the locket was indeed stolen, and he discovers this after his new set arrives; Edith originally thought she lost the piece accidentally. Look for a familiar face in John Randolph, who portrays insurance agent Joe Peterson. During this scene, Archie says the "neighborhood mugger" stole his wife's locket; while Randolph was pretty good in his role, I can't say the same for Liam Dunn(Mr. Fairchild), who added little to this show with a mediocre performance. I don't recall the funny lines uttered by Archie, but I'm certain there were many, as this was a very good episode while the show was in the peak years.
