The quality really went downhill with this seventh season opener
29 December 2017 | by Jimmy_the_Gent4See all my reviews

Archie accepts an invitation to an attractive woman's apartment.

This was one of the worst episodes, based on an unbelievable concept. It is highly unlikely that an attractive woman (she is a waitress named Denise) like the one played by Janis Paige would be interested in an overweight, balding slob like Archie Bunker. Plus the Archie character was always uncomfortable with anything sexual, so it is hard to believe he is suddenly a horn-dog. There are no real laughs here, not even chuckles, just a few smiles in the scenes with Archie and Edith. The scenes with Archie and Denise are cringe-worthy.
