Sex & Nudity

  • There is infrequent female nudity. Mainly topless but there is some full frontal nudity
  • The rating for this movie is NOT PG!!! One must be 18 years or older to rent or buy this movie in stores. That means the correct rating is 18A or R for the extreme sexist & exploitive frequency & duration of graphic full frontal female nudity!!!
  • Discussion of penetrative sex with a robot.
  • A man jokes that oral sex was performed by a ghost in a film.
  • Conversation between two males about sexual intercourse. One asks the other if he wants to have intercourse with the main female and about how it would be performed if such a case arises.
  • A robot (played by an actress so all nudity is real) lies on a bed for around a minute naked with breasts, buttocks and genitalia is visible.
  • A scene shows many prototypes of robots (again played by actresses so all of the nudity is real) and you can see some very brief part frontal nudity. (not sexualized)
  • She then stands in front of a mirror nude. This scene lasts about 30 seconds - a minute (not sexualized) no genitalia is visible.

Violence & Gore

  • A man hits an female robot in the face and her lower jaw falls off.

Profanity

  • Use of "Jesus" and "Christ."
  • 12 uses of "fuck" (some in a sexual context)
  • Uses of milder bad language including "shit"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One of the characters is an alcoholic, and drinks in most of the scenes.
  • The alcoholic is seen drunk once, and with a hangover twice.
  • Most scenes contain people drinking beer.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is a very dark and disturbing movie. Some scenes show the main character confused as to whether what he is experiencing is real life. The entire movie has eerie music and has an eerie feeling throughout.

Violence & Gore

  • A man cuts his arm open with a razor.
  • A man is stabbed twice with a knife.
  • A man cuts his arm with a razor and feels inside his cut to make sure he is human. Blood pools all around his arm and on the desk underneath his arm. This is quite hard to watch because it is not stylized at all, and there is a lot of blood.
  • A man gets stabbed in the back very swiftly and you can see some blood on his shirt. Then the knife gets pulled out, and he gets stabbed in the stomach (again very swiftly) and it is pulled out. There is blood on the knife and on both spots of his shirt, there is some blood. He then falls down dead, and later you see blood pool under him. (strong, bloody)

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character plans to get another one drunk twice for his own benefit. It works once, but not the second time

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is left, possibly to die, in a locked facility.
