Storyline

Another massive 10.5 quake tears apart the West Coast, threatening to turn the American landscape into a hellish wasteland. Seismologist Samantha Hill sees an even greater threat: an ever-widening fault line that's heading straight for the country's two largest nuclear reactors. If a meltdown occurs, millions will die. Samantha and the American president agree only one man can help them-the scientist who predicted this terrifying natural disaster years before-Samantha's own father, Dr. Earl Hill, now counted as a possible casualty of a massive Las Vegas quake. Together with a crack rescue team including Brad and Will, Samantha must find her father and stop the fault from slicing uncontrollably toward millions of people and the ultimate nuclear apocalypse. Goofs

In the last scene showing the now split North American Continent it appears they forgot to show the new CA/NV coastline that was created at the end of the first 10.5 movie. "Los Angeles Island" is indeed shown on the map of North America at the end of the movie. It just looks very small compared to in the previous movie since the map shows such a large area, versus before, when it was showing only California. See more »

Brad Malloy: I am.
Roy Nolan: FEMA Director: Hell's going on out there.
Brad Malloy: What are we talking about?
Roy Nolan: FEMA Director: You're the guy that pulled off that rescue by crawling through the wreckage of the Mountain Glen Inn right?
Brad Malloy: Yes sir that was me.
Roy Nolan: FEMA Director: You deaf or just stupid!
Brad Malloy: What?
Roy Nolan: FEMA Director: I know you and your brother are relatively inexperienced like a lot of the guys out there but that's no excuse for what you did!
Brad Malloy: I called for backup! Nobody showed up, what was I supposed to do?

Zoom Zoom Zoom
21 May 2006 | by Cru3See all my reviews

This is an escapist entertainment featuring a cast of good actors and some commendable production values - all rendered pointless by the director's incessant (and I do mean incessant) abuse of the zoom lens. Whose idea was that? The director? The director of photography? Who holds the blame? It became so nauseating that it effectively spoiled everybody else's hard work. The director is not a novice and yet he allows this same grievous mistake to sink this film as he did the previous 10.5 disaster TV movie. There seems to be a mistaken notion that manipulating the zoom lens equates with directorial style. Jess Franco would even be embarrassed.
