In 2002, two rival Olympic ice skaters were stripped of their gold medals and permanently banned from men's single competition. Presently, however, they've found a loophole that will allow them to qualify as a pairs team.

In their very first game, Gus says that the score is 17 to
nothing. This should not be possible. Richie and Clark are first to bat, and each get 1 out. Then Gus is up and scores a run. Richie or Clark have to be up to bat after Gus, so they would score the third out, therefore causing the end of the inning. In innings 3, 5, 7, & 9 Gus would get two at bats. Assuming the game is 9 innings and the Benchwarmers are the visiting team and assuming neither Richie nor Clark reach base the most runs they could score would be 13. See more »

We've got statistics! I got 30 homeruns!
I got 11 foul ticks!
I got 20 eyes-closed strike outs, 5 broken windshields, and 6 dead birds! I'm freakin' awesome!

Originally, the end credit sequence had a series of alternate takes, outtakes and deleted scenes. These were removed for the DVD release and were restored for its airings on the STARZ Network. See more »
I really did not expect the movie to be very good. Don't get me wrong - I thought I'd like it (I love almost every baseball movie ever made) but I had no idea that the film would actually work on multiple levels.
The movie's short, but that's OK as it gets right to the point and never stops. Some of the humor is a bit childish (far jokes), but they actually balance a lot of it out with other childish jokes that make the earlier ones bearable (back to back fart jokes... I don't want to be more specific because it will spoil it when you see it).
I was very pleased with this film and will probably see it again while it's in theaters. If you're somebody who likes any Adam Sandler branded flick then you'll love this one.
