Cole Sprouse, Joey King, H.E.R. and More Young Stars Sound Off on Social Media
Social media has transformed showbiz, making it easier for young performers to express themselves, connect with fans and even get their big break.

A strong social media presence can even be used as leverage during the casting process.

But what do performers think about it? Variety surveyed those highlighted in this year’s Young Hollywood issue and got a wide array of responses: While some are pro-social media, others expressed deep ambivalence about its impact on society at large and the industry in particular. Cover star Cole Sprouse, who got his start on the Disney Channel with his brother Dylan and now stars in “Riverdale,” was especially passionate about the dangers of social media for younger actors, for instance, while “The Act” star Joey King was far more upbeat about it.

Here are some of the reactions:

Cole and Dylan Sprouse Want to Work Together Again (but Not as Twins)
For six years, starting in 2005, former child actors Cole and Dylan Sprouse conquered the Disney Channel by starring in the hit sitcom “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and its spinoff, “The Suite Life on Deck.” But then in 2011, the twin brothers — whose credits also include “Big Daddy” and “Grace Under Fire” (where they split the same role in both as young boys) — decided they needed to take a break and enrolled as freshmen at NYU.

In a cover story for Variety‘s annual Power of Young Hollywood issue, Cole, now 27, said he’d be open to working with his brother again. “We’ve talked about it,” said Cole, who since 2017 has played the sardonic narrator Jughead on CW’s “Riverdale.”

Cole added that it wouldn’t be a reboot or a reunion for the Disney Channel. “The whole kitschy twin thing, I don’t think that sells anymore,

Cole Sprouse on How ‘Riverdale’ Transformed Him From Disney Child Star to Leading Man

Cole Sprouse on How ‘Riverdale’ Transformed Him From Disney Child Star to Leading Man
Most child actors don’t thrive in Hollywood past puberty. Cole Sprouse opted out on his own terms. The 2005 hit Disney Channel sitcom “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” turned Cole and his twin brother, Dylan, into the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of their generation. But after the series and its spinoff wrapped, Cole was ready for something new.

In 2011, Sprouse enrolled as a freshman at NYU. Over the next four years, he regained his anonymity, took photography classes, majored in archaeology and landed an entry-level job at a small laboratory in Brooklyn. “I was bagging artifacts,” says Sprouse, who is now 27. “And I got a call from my manager, who begged me to come back and audition for pilot season.” Sprouse made a deal. “If I don’t book anything, then I’m not going to do this anymore,” he recalls telling his manager. “And I gave her

Dylan Sprouse Wants To Play The McU’s Human Torch In Fantastic Four

Now that the merger between The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox is fully complete, it won’t be long before Deadpool, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are introduced into the McU. And given the terrible reception to the reboot of the latter, which was helmed by Josh Trank, we imagine Marvel’s eager to get another shot at transitioning the superhuman supergroup from comic book to cinemas.

Obviously, the studio still has quite a bit of ground to cover before we actually see the Four up on the big screen, but it’s understandable that fans are pretty excited about the prospect. After all, the property has yet to receive an enjoyable adaptation and given how everything Marvel touches seemingly turns to gold, having Kevin Feige and co. handle the next reboot will undoubtedly provide Reed, Susan, Ben and Johnny their best chance at starring in a winning movie yet.

Jenny is a pharmaceutical rep assigned to the hospital where her mother is working as an intern. Five Feet Apart – Review

Attention all you fans of flicks that tug at the heartstrings, load up the tissues and keep a “hankie” at the ready, cause this new flick is out to give those tear ducts a tough workout. Sure, Valentine’s Day was last month, but this showcases some very popular teen stars (one is on a “hot” CW TV show), so it’s the perfect film for all the kids going on Spring Break. Plus the movies last month were primarily “rom coms” like What Men Want and Isn’T It Romantic, while this, though it has a smattering of humor, may be the opposite. A “rom-trag”, perhaps. That’s because the “third wheel” that’s trying to split up the main couple is a deadly disease. Because of it, this girl and boy must keep Five Feet Apart.

After a narrated montage about the power of “touch”, we’re right

Captain Marvel Photo Contains Nsfw Easter Egg

When Brie Larson took to social media yesterday with an image from next year’s Captain Marvel, all the actress wanted to do was spread the message to her followers to vote in the midterm elections, but fans keep finding new discoveries in the image.

This latest Easter Egg, for example, is so niche-y that you have to wonder how a Reddit user managed to pick up on it less that 24 hours after the photo was shared. On the payphone observable on the picture, it seems that there’s a number that also featured in the 2000s Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Given the shared brand behind these two properties, this may not even be a coincidence, but this find also comes with a twist.

You see, back in the 2000s, when the series was still on air, calling that number put you onto an
