Storyline

Something has gone wrong at a remote scientific research station on Mars. All research has ceased. Communication has failed. And the messages that do get through are less than comforting. It's a level 5 quarantine and the only souls allowed in or out are the Rapid Response Tactical Squad - hardened Marines armed to the teeth with enough firepower to neutralize the enemy...or so they think. The beating heart in the jar and the beeping accompanying it is reminiscent of the logo used by id Software (the developer of the Doom video games) shown at the beginning of many of their games. See more »

Goofs

When Reaper, Sarge and Sam are watching the video file from UAC's human subject test, the time-code on the screen first starts out at 2:23. After a quick shot of all 3 actors, the timer then reads 2:33, then 2:34. It then instantly switches to 3:24 without any apparent fast forwarding of the video. After another quick shot of Sarge, the timer then starts at 2:27. See more »

One of the greatest movies ever!!!!
11 December 2006 | by punisher6191See all my reviews

OK, I love this movie!!!!!!!!!! yes OK, it doesn't really have that much of a plot. Something is wrong with the research base on Mars, so a team lead by The Rock is sent in to investigate to find out that there are a bunch of crazy killing monsters. But it was a lot of fun. The acting was good, the special effects were excellent, and the action was awesome!!! There is only one problem I had with this movie. It is based on the popular game series "Doom", but they changed the plot a little. Instead of having demons from Hell on the planet, like in the game, it was a biological experiment gone wrong. I think they should have gone with the original plot, but that wasn't enough to knock it down a vote. It was still amazing and the plot did work. If you want to see The Rock killing a tons of monsters with lots of gore and just have fun, definitely see this movie!!!!!
