Storyline

In 1936, when French workers finally earn the right to paid vacations, the "proletariat" discover for the first time in their lives the pleasure, adventures and other aspects of the annual seaside summer holiday. Mado (Nadine Marcovici) and her best friend Gaby (Clotilde Courau) decide to take advantage of this, leaving their husband (Mado) / boyfriend (Gaby) behind - at least temporarily. By the sea, they meet new people, including handsome men. Gaby meets Constant (Guillaume Cramoeisan), a young photographer. Though both women's lives are forever altered during the holiday, Gaby's new acquaintance will dramatically change the course of her life, in particular. Written by argentino de rio

Gaby and Mado
6 April 2019 | by zutterjp48See all my reviews

The first paid holidays for the working class in France !! Gaby and Mado take her bicycle and ride through the campaign to a holiday camp at the seaside where we meet with other people and spend a good time. Les beaux jours is a comedy full of freshness, tenderness and humour . I like very much this film for the fine descriptionof this moments (the ride in bicycle, the nights in the camp, the story of the photographwho met Picasso, the manual work in the farm !! And finally the good performance of Clothilde Courau who is really a good actress.
