Storyline

Long ago, there was a great war between the beasts of the land and the birds of the air. Because the bats shared aspects of both sides, they chose to stay neutral in the conflict. For that, both sides banished the Bats to the night, never to see the Sun again. In the present day, a young undersized Silverwing bat named Shade, in a fling of youthful impulsiveness, dares to violate that law. As a result, the Owls demand he be surrendered to them for punishment and when the colony elder refuses, the Owls destroy the colony's home. In the resulting premature migration, Shade becomes separated on a island where he finds a new friend, a Brightwing bat named Marina. Together, they set about to rejoin Shade's colony, but events are unfolding that threaten his people and perhaps only those young bats can stop it. Written by Kenneth Chisholm (kchishol@rogers.com)

Cool
15 July 2005 | by new_concept_See all my reviews

The first time i saw the preview commercial for the show on teletoon, i thought it would be another one of those wannabe shows that wouldn't last long...

I was wrong, well right too, cause when i first saw it, i was amazed that it caught my attention the first 10 minutes, it has a very interesting storyline, based on the book but still the TV series was a bit different from the book.

But one thing i was right about was that it would'nt last long, its only over 10 episode...

But i enjoyed the show so much, i even taped it for future entertainment. I would recommend this show for all ages, perfect for little kids and even for adults.
