Wonder Woman 1984 may introduce more Amazons in the upcoming sequel.

"The world needs Wonder Woman now more than ever, and with Wonder Woman 1984 looming on the horizon, we’re all itching for some kind content of Diana Prince. After her first movie, we’ve only seen our favorite Amazon in Justice League, and I like to pretend that movie does not exist because I personally hate how they treated the Amazons and, more specifically, Diana as a character. So, for me, I

Below are six male celebs I think the show should consider bringing onboard. Check out my picks, and vote at the bottom of this post to let us know which (if any) of them you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And feel free to let us know in comments what other celebs you would like to see when the show comes back in September.

Best known for his Golden Globe-nominated performances in “Taxi” and “Who’s the Boss,” Danza is a veteran actor with experience on the big and small screens, Broadway and even as a professional boxer. He was most recently seen in the short-lived Netflix series “The Good Cop.” But he would definitely fit the mold of nostalgic

Junior Johnson needs a future beyond running moonshine for his father, and finds it climbing the rungs of success in the stock car racing game. This may be the most satisfying saga of its kind, and it helped prove that Bridges was a star.

Film Review: ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’

Film Review: ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’
Dora the Explorer was seven years old when audiences met her on television, a sing-songy polymath who traveled the map seeking answers and solving puzzles, accompanied by a big-mouthed backpack and equally loquacious monkey, Boots. Nearly 20 years have passed since the adventure show first aired (enough to cultivate a massive global awareness), but only 10 in Dora’s world, which means her live-action debut, director James Bobin’s “Dora and the Lost City of Gold,” gives audiences of all ages the chance to see the character — whose unquenchable thirst for education knew no bounds — face the ultimate test: adjusting to an American high school.

If that sounds like a pretext for a snappy, self-parodying TV-to-film adaptation — something in the vein of “21 Jump Street” or “The Dukes of Hazzard,” perhaps — think again. Yes, the movie is postmodern enough to acknowledge that there’s something odd about Dora’s penchant for breaking

Drive-In Dust Offs: Devil Times Five (1974)

I can’t get enough of those murderous, irascible brats; The Bad Seed (1956) started it for me, and then those weirdo, virginal birth alien kids from Village of the Damned (1960) sealed the deal – kids can’t be trusted. This brings us back to the ‘70s, and before we get to wee Damien, we’re babysitting Devil Times Five (1974), a thriller that goes from low-key creepy to wtf over the span of 88 minutes.

Originally released as Peopletoys in May, it was re-released in June as The Horrible House on the Hill, and then re-re-released in October of ’76 as Devil Times Five. This indecisiveness is par for the course of this production as original (and credited) director Sean MacGregor (Gentle Savage) was booted from the project for only coughing up 38 minutes of usable footage, and veteran producer David Sheldon (Grizzly) was brought in to overhaul and finish things up. The result is

General Lee: 10 Bizarre Facts You Never Knew About The Dukes Of Hazzard Car

Over the years, audiences found themselves getting attached to famous vehicles that became characters on their own rights, and one such car is General Lee: the iconic 1969 Dodge Charger used by brothers Bo (John Schneider) and Luke (Tom Wopat) Duke used in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Decades after the series ended and an ill-advised theatrical motion picture released in 2005, the former moonshiners’ legendary car remained a vehicular monument in the halls of pop culture. To this day, old-school fans of the show and newcomers alike admire the General Lee and spend vast amounts of money to acquire a replica or even a miniature of it. To celebrate the show nearing its 40th anniversary, here are 10 bizarre facts about General Lee that you may not have heard before.

Toby Keith Yells Country Singer Names in New Song ‘That’s Country Bro’

Toby Keith Yells Country Singer Names in New Song ‘That’s Country Bro’
Toby Keith follows up the poignant ballad “Don’t Let the Old Man In” with a raucous blast of country-music pride. “That’s Country Bro” is a classic list song, but instead of the usual run-through of rural imagery (trucks, bonfires and coolers), Keith ticks off a Hall of Fame-worthy roster of country singers.

Jimmie Rodgers, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Johnny Horton, Bill Monroe, Woody Guthrie and Bob Wills all get shout-outs in the first 18 seconds, followed by Kitty Wells, Jimmy Dean, Hank Snow and even Spade Cooley.

Joker Trailer Arrives, Joaquin Phoenix Is DC's Clown Prince

Joker Trailer Arrives, Joaquin Phoenix Is DC's Clown Prince
It was just yesterday that we passed along the first poster for The Hangover and Due Date co-writer-director Todd Phillips' gritty Joker origin film starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck aka The Clown Prince of Crime. That poster came to us from Phillips himself over on Instagram, and in his post, he promised us that the powers that be behind the scenes at Warner Bros. and DC would be dropping the teaser trailer on all of our heads today. And low and behold the director is a man of his word as today we have, you guessed it, the teaser trailer for Joker!

This teaser obviously gives us our first look at Phillips' new "dark and gritty" character study of the man who would be Joker. Set in Gotham City way back in 1981, Phillips' version of Batman's ultimate super-villain starts out as the rather simple tale of a

‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Star John Schneider Remembers Burt Reynolds and His Signature Tequila Drink

‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Star John Schneider Remembers Burt Reynolds and His Signature Tequila Drink
The Dukes of Hazzard” TV star John Schneider remembers meeting Burt Reynolds as a teen and reconnecting after Reynolds starred in the poorly-received 2005 “The Dukes of Hazzard” movie.

Burt was a pioneer in the “on location” film industry. His work in bringing productions to Georgia and providing opportunity for new actors, directors, technicians and stuntmen started many careers. The world of Hollywood, actors, car enthusiasts and truckers owe a lot to this great man. Even when he was the number one box office draw on the planet he always a smile, a laugh and a story for friends both old and brand new.

I remember fondly the day I climbed the fence at the fairgrounds in Atlanta in 1976. It was the day I talked my way onto what was to become one of the top grossing movies of all time. He was gracious and charming and I learned later that

Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake Coming to Netflix in the Us on January 5th

  • DailyDead
Horror fans have been looking forward to seeing Mike Flanagan's Before I Wake since the film was teased in trailers back in 2015, but bankruptcy issues at Relativity Media delayed and ultimately brought the movie's release to a halt. Since that time, Flanagan directed two well-received films for Netflix, and the streaming service has now revealed that they will bring Before I Wake out of film purgatory and into the warm glow of the TV screen.

Netflix revealed the exciting Before I Wake news in their full announcement of titles being added to their streaming lineup in January of 2018. Starring Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, and Kate Bosworth, Before I Wake will be available to watch on the streaming service beginning Friday, January 5th, marking its first official release in the Us (it was previously released internationally, including in the UK by Netflix).

Other titles being added to Netflix (in the Us) include 30 Days of Night,

Jessica Simpson Wears a Beard for Her Halloween Tribute to Dukes of Hazzard Costar Willie Nelson

Jessica Simpson Wears a Beard for Her Halloween Tribute to Dukes of Hazzard Costar Willie Nelson
They famously starred alongside one another in the 2015 big-screen remake of The Dukes of Hazzard. And this Halloween, it appears country icon Willie Nelson was on Jessica Simpson‘s mind!

The 37-year-old “Public Affair” singer got back to her country roots and paid tribute to her former costar by dressing up as him — dawning Nelson’s signature bandana, beard, long braids, and cowboy boots in the costume.

She added a colorful paisley shirt, patriotic scarf and acoustic guitar to complete Nelson’s look, and — in a hat tip to her Dukes of Hazzard character, no doubt — her own pair of Daisy Duke shorts.

Jessica Simpson Dons a Beard and Ponytails for Her Epic Willie Nelson Halloween Costume

Jessica Simpson Dons a Beard and Ponytails for Her Epic Willie Nelson Halloween Costume
Jessica Simpson is paying tribute to a country icon (and a former co-star) with her amazing Halloween ensemble.

Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, went all out for their country-inspired couples costume this year. The singer dressed up as Willie Nelson, while her hubby went as Nelson's long-time collaborator Waylon Jennings.

For her costume, Simpson tied her long blonde locks into a pair of braided ponytails and glued a grey beard on her face. She sold the look with an American flag headband, paisley shirt and cowboy boots.

However, Simpson couldn't pass up a chance at showing off her legs, so her version of Nelson is wearing a pair of super-short daisy dukes.

The costuming choice might actually be a reference to her role as Daisy Duke in the 2005 big screen remake of The Dukes of Hazzard, in which she starred opposite Nelson, who played her uncle.

‘Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus’: The Songs to Know from the Show’s Country Music Icons

  • Indiewire
[Editor’s note: This article is presented in partnership with Cinemax in support of Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus, which premieres on September 22nd at 10:00 pm Et/Pt on Cinemax.]

Mike Judge is behind a new TV show this month, with Cinemax’s “Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus,” an animated eight-episode series looking into the lives and times behind some iconic country music performers.

Some of these folks are household names from Nashville to Norway, but others are lesser-known figures from the country music world. They all have distinct styles and, as “Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus” shows, they all led very different lives away from the stage.

We’ll leave the prime anecdotes and animated hijinks to the experts (the series premieres Friday, September 22 at 10pm Et/Pt on Cinemax), but in the meantime, here’s a primer on the musicians that make up the backbone of this illustrated look at country music history.
