Night in East Africa. A herd of long-horned African cattle sense a predator's presence. Their herdsman is on the alert. The next day, he conducts a ceremony to ward off the beast. That next night, as the herdsman sleeps in a tree, his talisman by his side, the leopard approaches the herd, observing from an overhang. Will the leopard strike, or are the powers of the god sufficient to keep death at bay?
