Storyline

Workaholic Mike grudgingly minds the kids while his wife, legal assistant Emma Burke, flies to Hawai with ashes of Lily, the native who raised her and came to Boston with her. On the minor Hawaian island, Emma finally gets acquainted (again) with her family, and decides to stay, also to help with their flower nursery's legal problems. She also learns her biological mother is alive and well on the island, but refuses to talk to her now and starts an ill-considered affair with handsome cousin Kala. Mike flies in with the two children, complicating everything further. Written by KGF Vissers

Hated The Ending!
11 January 2020 | by bronzesrvSee all my reviews

This movie kept my attention, There are a lot of Jason Momoa fans out there, I'm not one of them and I'm not familiar with this work, but I can see why the ladies love him so much. I am a fan of Virginia Madsen and her brother Michael, it is nice to see her in a semi romantic part, she had the worst husband and children on the planet! Ungrateful, useless and whiny. No way I would have stayed with the husband she had, he couldn't even let her enjoy her time in Hawaii without him flying himself and the kids out there! And before that calling her to handle mess he should have been dealing with as a father. Leave her be, give her her time and let her come home in peace , not take that garbage there. I would have definitely chosen the handsome guy on the island to stay with. Her husband only confessed his love for her when she admitted she almost, almost fell for someone else who made her feel loved and alive. She deserved better! She was a lot more loyal to her family then they were to her. I would have never left a man behind on that island that loved me as much as kalai loved her.!
