Storyline

When upper-class woman Sara discovers, that her husband Jan is having an affair with a younger woman, she leaves him. Now she has to take care of herself and therefore rents an old house in Valby and starts a new and more humble life. At first the situation seems a little sad, but with her unfailing good spirits Sara quickly becomes popular in the neighborhood, amongst others with the salsa-freak Sus and the cable-guy Holger. They try to get her involved in their conflict with the neighborhood's black sheep, the taxi-driver Robert, but are not successful. Sara manages to keep out of the controversies and soon her husband has to realize that Sara is doing just fine without him. Written by TheBluesBaby

Warm, funny, romantic & sad
31 January 2003 | by ak8See all my reviews

I saw this film today (31/1-2003) at the Göteborg film festival and i it was quite good. As many other Danish movies it is rather is beginnes with a tragic divorce there Sara leaves her cheating husband and rents a house outside Copenhagen. Here can we follow her when she is interacting with her new neighbours and falls in love with one of them. It is a nice and warm film, nothing more and nothing less. It is well worth seeing. 7.5 of 10 points.
