Goofs

Initially in the first 'briefing' before training, the 53rd Squadron Leader refers to himself as Lieutenant Loukakis, but later on in the missions, he refers to himself as Captain Loukakis. Even in the 36hr time period between the two, he would not have been promoted that many ranks. See more »

Quotes

Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Snipes: We'll now scuttle this decoy transport. If the rebs think we destroyed the Sunder, the won't know how much we know. We'll also be able to continue our covert operation. Of course that's if they don't hang us for failing the mission. We might be pushing our luck here, but what the hell.

A sequel done right

Well,

After the hit that is Freespace, i was really looking forward to this. I was actually in the beta, testing multiplayer with Dave Baranec from Volition.

Let me tell you, this game is awesome. It's single player campaign is long and captivating. You really want to keep playing just to learn what will happen next.

Gameplay wise, this excels the previous entry. You have huge capital ships on both sides, with deadly beam weapons, and they also battle each other. You are cought in the middle.

Graphics are updated and the game looks really good.

Sound is great, you really feel you're hurting when you get hit by a beam, or an enemy fighter.

Voice acting is brilliant and well done. Ronnie Cox, Robert Loggia, Kurtwood Smith. Hello?

All in all, this is the combat space sim that every developer in the genre wants to mimic. This is how you get everything right in a game.
