A representative for Turk confirmed his death to TheWrap Monday morning, saying his family “just asks that we respect their privacy during this time of loss.”

“Just over a year ago our dear friend, Brian Turk, was diagnosed with cancer,” reads the opening message on the “In Support of the Brian Turk Family” GoFundMe page. “Being the selfless and private person that he is, Brian kept this quiet so as not to concern his family and friends. Unfortunately, the cancer has now become terminal. Brian has impacted so many of us in a positive way whether it be on the football field, at Mater Dei or USC, on stage or in our personal lives. He has always been there for us in our times of need and celebration.”

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: First-Time Host Sandra Oh Embraces The Bizarre

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: First-Time Host Sandra Oh Embraces The Bizarre
After another mini-break, “Saturday Night Live” is back with a new episode and another first-time host: Sandra Oh. Unfortunately, there is no “Killing Eve” sketch — though BBC America takes care of that series promotion during one of the first commercial breaks — but there is some unexpected insanity that gets the season back on track, heading into the closing stretch.

Host: Sandra Oh

Oh, Sandra. Sandra Oh’s monologue gets this episode off to a pretty good start, as she lets the whole world know she’s Canadian, she’s Asian, and she’s now a United States citizen… but she also has absolutely no idea how to be assertive and braggadocious, as she’s Canadian, and she’s Asian. This isn’t a Leslie Jones-heavy episode — in fact, the entire joke of the later sketch she’s “supposed” to figure into involves her not actually getting to do anything

The Internet Reacts To Will Smith’s Blue Genie In Aladdin

When the first official images of Will Smith as the Genie in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake made their way online back in December, many fans were upset to see that the actor didn’t have blue skin, prompting Smith himself to take to social media to clarify that his character will still be blue in the actual movie.

Sure enough, the new trailer for Guy Ritchie’s film finally shows us the fully CGI’d version of the Genie, complete with his unnatural skin tone, and wouldn’t you know it, the internet is more skeptical than ever, with the Twitter response suggesting a mixture of disappointment and terror:

so a new trailer for #Aladdin premiered during the #Grammys and it showed Will Smith’s Genie and… i don’t know chief pic.twitter.com/za045I6RVU

Sandra Oh Is the First Asian Actress Nominated for Lead in a Drama Series
History was made with the 2018 Emmy Awards nominations, which included recognition for Sandra Oh. Oh, who had been nommed five times in the supporting category for her work on “Grey’s Anatomy,” is now the first actress of Asian decent to be nominated for an Emmy for lead actress in a drama series.

The actress received the nomination for the critically acclaimed BBC America thriller “Killing Eve.” Oh plays Eve Polastri, a MI5 officer who is tailing an assassin played by Jodie Comer. While their cat-and-mouse chase plays out across Europe, both women slowly become obsessed with one another. “It’s a complicated role that also requires precise comic timing, and Oh nails every aspect of it,” read Variety’s review.

Oh was born in Canada to Korean immigrant parents and has appeared in movies including “The Princess Diaries,” “Under the Tuscan Sun,” “Big Fat Liar” and her feature debut,

She's baaaack! Amanda Bynes made a rare appearance at a fundraiser in Glendale, CA, earlier this month to show her support for Pat Harris — the Democratic candidate running for a seat in the United States Senate. Although the former Nickelodeon star doesn't usually publicize her political beliefs, a source told Us Weekly that she wanted to "show up to support Pat." Watch the video above to see how Amanda is doing since stepping out for the event! "Amanda attended a fundraiser for the Democratic challenger for Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat, Pat Harris," the source explained. "Amanda is very civic-minded and wanted to show up to support Pat. [She is] basically just living her life." Celebrate National Look-Alike Day with these 7 famous doppelgängersCelebrate National Look-Alike Day with these 7 famous doppelgängersAdriana Floridia4/20/2017 9:40:00 Am

Today is National Look-Alike day, and so naturally we're here to take a look at some startlingly similar actors and actresses in film.

Have you ever watched a movie thinking it was one actor on screen, only to realize later that it was actually someone who just looked a lot like them? We've been there, and we'll admit that we've mixed up these actors before. Who hasn't thought that Frodo was Harry, and Harry was Frodo? We've also confused Gandalf and Dumbledore, but we're trying to put that one behind us.

The following actors could quite possibly be related, if we looked at their ancestral charts. If that's not the case then we can't explain the phenomenon of their nearly identical likenesses. We wish we had a celebrity twin.

Minecraft The Movie Will be Directed by Shawn Levy

Fan poster by DeviantArt user SupMissTasty

Earlier this year it was reported that Warner Bros. would be developing a big screen adaptation of the addictive video game Minecraft. Deadline now reports that the studio has hired Night at the Museum franchise director Shawn Levy to direct the feature.

In the game, players create their own avatar and are dropped into a blank world filled with nocturnal monsters. Players then use cubes to create, build, and destroy structures and other forms across multiple game modes and various players.

The movie will be a live-action adaptation, which seems weird because it would fit a lot better in a CG animated universe. Creating it in live-action would take away the the look of the brand, which the players have become accustomed to. Who knows though, maybe Levy has a way to make it all work.

This seems like a movie that Levy would

Amanda Bynes' Very Own Show Premiered 15 Years Ago – And Et Was There

Amanda Bynes' Very Own Show Premiered 15 Years Ago – And Et Was There
Back in 2001, we talked to the rising young star on the set of Nickelodeon's 'The Amanda Show.' What went wrong?

It's hard to believe but October 16 marks 15 years since The Amanda Show -- starring a then-13-year-old Amanda Bynes -- first premiered on Nickelodeon.

Airing from 1999 to 2002, the All That spin-off show turned Bynes, now 28, into a star.

But clearly, it hasn't all been smooth sailing from there. In the last month, the troubled actress has made daily headlines with erratic behavior, explosive allegations and – on October 10 – a return to being held at a psychiatric treatment facility, potentially for up to a year.

Video: Amanda Bynes' Psych Hold Extended to 2 Weeks, Hit 'Breaking Point' With Abuse Allegations

Both Bynes' mental health struggles and trouble with the law are well-documented, but when did it all start going south for the troubled child star?

Let's take a look back at a timeline of her troubles

Paul Giamatti To Play Ruthless N.W.A. Manager In Straight Outta Compton

Since 2010, Paul Giamatti has been one of Hollywood’s most prolific actors, appearing in 19 films in the past five years. Some were great (12 Years a Slave, Win Win), and some were not so great (Rock of Ages, The Hangover Part II). However, regardless of the role, Giamatti was almost always a high point of the film. Now, the trusted character actor (and occasional leading man) has an exciting new role in his roster, as Jerry Heller, the controversial manager of the pioneering hip hop group N.W.A., in the music biopic Straight Outta Compton.

Before he managed the influential group, Heller represented pop acts like Journey, Reo Speedwagon and Marvin Gaye. After he co-founded Ruthless Records with N.W.A. member Eazy-e, Heller oversaw one of the genre’s defining records by the group, one which shares its title with this biopic.

However, he later became synonymous with ripping off the rappers. Several

Amanda Bynes's Bong-Tossing Case May Be Dismissed

Amanda Bynes's Bong-Tossing Case May Be Dismissed
The bong-tossing case against Amanda Bynes will be dismissed if the actress stays out of trouble for six months and goes to counseling twice a week, a judge ruled Friday. Bynes was charged in New York City last spring with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession after building managers called police because they said she was smoking pot in the lobby of her Manhattan apartment. When officers entered her 36th-floor apartment, they said they saw her heave a bong out the window. The Hairspray star, 27, later appeared in court in a disheveled blond wig and said she didn't do anything wrong.

Film Mom: When Strip Clubs in PG-13 Movies Becomes Commonplace

  • Fandango
Should a strip-club scene ever be in a PG-13 movie? I’m not judging, I’m asking you, fellow movie-savvy parents. The Internship, a comedy from Night at the Museum director-producer Shawn Levy, features a lengthy scene in a strip club where, indeed, scantily clad dancers are performing lap dances and where, of course, we meet a familiar character, the stripper with a heart of gold. The Internship director Shawn Levy is best known for family films like Night at the Museum series, Cheaper by the Dozen and Big Fat Liar. However, in his more adult outing Date Night, Tina Fey and Steve Carell do wind up at a strip club and that movie is also rated PG-13. Rock of Ages similarly has Julianne Hough on the pole. The Guilt Trip, Sucker Punch and Burlesque all feature scantily...

‘The Internship’ Director Shawn Levy is “Just Getting Warmed Up”

The Internship is kind of a bizarre comedy. It removes the potential for mean-spirited humor by not featuring two leads consistently bust each other’s balls. Director Shawn Levy‘s film is somewhat of an anti-ironic comedy, to the point where that type of self-impressed smirking is literally put down in the movie itself. That makes sense when you consider Levy’s body of work. His movies are as innocent and audience-friendly as one can imagine. From The Night at the Museum movies to, a personal favorite, Big Fat Liar, there’s zero cynicism in their content. For his reunion film between Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, Levy explores potentially depressing material: two friends whose lives fall out from under them and, once they start interning at Google, the possibility of failure is always high. In spite of their low chances of obtaining a full-time position at Google, the two characters, and
