I saw this movie in 1979 while on holiday in Germany. It was extremely good. There were a few moments when I had to leave the room because the suspense was just about too much. I always hoped it would be shown on TV in my native Holland. Then one day, it was, only it was on the evening of the day I emigrated to New Zealand. So that didn't quite work out. I've always kept my eyes open for it, but never seen it again. If you come across it, watch it, preferably in German. Great actors, a good unsuspected ending, no boring bits, a total must-see.
