Dr. Ivo Robotnik is back and has released Chaos Zero from the Master Emerald. Chaos Zero watches over the Master Emerald Shrine on Angel Island. Now he wants to use Chaos Zero to destroy Station Square and build "Robotnikland". Chaos can grow stronger with every Chaos Emerald he "eats". When he gets all 7, it's all over... but not while Sonic's around. Along with Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and new characters E-102 Gamma and Big The Cat, Sonic must save Station Square in his hugest adventure yet.
The Original Hero Is Back!
Did You Know?
Knuckles' voice in the E3 1999 demo was different from the version in the final product. He had the same voice actor, however the voice direction was very different. The lines were also slightly different. One of his lines ("Oh no!") was used in the final product, however in a separate cutscene. Oddly enough, some of these voices actually ended up used in Sonic Adventure DX, but only the ones that played outside of cutscenes. See more

Knuckles The Echidna
I'll probably be on this floating island forever, guarding the Master Emerald once again. I may not know the whole story behind this, but perhaps it's better that way. I'm at peace once more.
A Nintendo Gamecube version was released June 2003, entitled Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut.
