Trivia

The format of reviews led many fans to believe that Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb were the only reviewers on the show, This is however incorrect as the show had an entire staff of reviewers, and just because one of the host read the review does not necessarily mean that they were the ones who played it. Goofs

When the show reviewed Metroid Prime (which is a Gamecube game), they incorrectly showed the Nintendo 64 logo on the screen. See more »

Quotes

Adam Sessler: [*after having given Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny a 2 out of 5*] Ok, I know we're gonna get hate mail from the Asheron fans - both of you - but come on, the graphics in this game are *horrible*! This looks like something the PS1 threw up!
Morgan Webb: And when you have to downgrade in order to play this game, Houston... we have a problem.
Adam Sessler: This makes Zork look brilliantly entertaining, and visually stunning! I think it's time to stick a fork in this one - it's done.

Good, yet corny...
5 August 2003 | by LVanceJrSee all my reviews

X-Play on TechTV is the newly 'updated' gaming show; previously named Extended Play. They review and preview games, show classic games and also display the 'Kill of the Week'. Once in awhile you'll see some guests, but in reality it's just a video game preview/review show with some real corny, yet sometimes funny comedy. It's enjoyable and since it's the only of it's kind (besides on the all gaming network G4, which not many get) it does a good job at what it does.
