Wonderful Carnivals
23 September 2009 | by kerrydragonSee all my reviews

I really enjoyed this 1/2 hr short from long ago.It brought back memories that carnivals weren't so slick as they are today,in fact it was bare basics. These were the days when the carnival would come into a small town, and leave 24 hrs later. The film shows how everything was set up,to thrill the rural crowd in those days.I remember the Pacific National Exhibition here in Vancouver back in the 50's and 60's.The sideshow, long gone, always fascinated me.I remember the Fat lady, the worlds tallest man from wales and the conjoined twins.Plus Animals that had extra limbs etc.Stuff you probably wouldn't see nowadays.I loved the arcade tent with all the old games. The Old grandma fortune teller, the are you hot meter, and the racy girlie pictures. Why did the men who set up the circus all smoke while they worked, and why do we have to write 10 lines for a comment,5 would be fine.
