Trivia

Initially began development under the name "Jack and Beans" for the ill-fated Nintendo 64 Double Disc drive. The game wasn't going to feature Pokemon but be a wholly original concept worked on by people outside the gaming industry, selected by Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto Koichi Nakamura and Shigesato Itoi. Eventually the planned 64DD version was scrapped in favor of the regular cartridge based system. See more »

Goofs

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are seen hatching from eggs, despite them being unable to breed. See more »

Alternate Versions

In the Wii U virtual console version of Pokemon Snap, the Pokemon Jynx has been colored black in the original Nintendo 64 version to being recolored purple. Also the Wii U virtual console has a save state feature, although it's not needed in this game. See more »

Very boring video game. One of the worst pokemon games.

Rated E.

I have played Pokemon Snap a couple of times on a Nintendo 64.There isn't much to say about this game but IMDb says I have to make the review 10 lines so I must. The only thing good about this game is the graphics. The graphics of the pokemon and the environment graphics are simply amazing.Great for Nintendo 64.The gameplay however is boring. You are a photographer and Proffesor Oak asks you to go to this island and take pictures of the different pokemon on the island. You must distract the pokemon by throwing fruit and other things at them.Pokemon Snap is a very boring game that's pretty to look at but not so fun to play.If you want a good N64 Pokemon game play Pokemon Stadium.
