Storyline

Badinois, a notary and a party man, is the protector of Irma de Saint-Marmille. But he wants to settle into a more quiet life. He asks for Miss Mourillon's hand in marriage and gets rid of Irma by introducing her to Campluchard who has just had a big inheritance. But Badinois, despite his promises, falls in love with Rose, his new chambermaid, and then with the beautiful Héloïse Plumard, a young widow whom he plans to marry. A jealous Rose bursts in on them at the wedding and Campluchard will save the day. Written by Greg Philip {greg_philip@hotmail.com}
