Set in 2039-2040, This series is set in Megalo City, a city built over the ruins of Tokyo. Boomers, a line of android workers created by the Genom Corporation, perform dozens of tasks, from cleaning to management, to heavy industry. However, a strange series of events has caused a great deal of these boomers to go rogue, despite government and corporation cover-ups to the contrary. The AD Police, a special anti-Boomer task-force, performs it's best to stop the maniacal machines. However, always a step ahead of them are the mysterious vigilantes known only to the public as the Knight Sabers. No one is sure who these warriors are, but a young office lady named Lina Yamazaki is intent on finding out and joining them.
All new! All different! All action!
Did You Know?
In addition to new character designs, the characters personalities have been altered greatly. Priss is much more stoic in 2040 than she was in the original version, while Sylia, originally very stoic in the first series, is now very emotional. Linna is given much more screen time and depicted as being an idealistic farm girl rather than as a shallow, greedy man-eater. Nene is also much more aggressive (and arrogant) than she was in the original version. The character of Daley Wong is also more subdued and no longer depicted as a homosexual caricature, as he was in the original series. The Leon McNichol character is also different, more of a "tough guy" and less of a pretty boy. See more
In "One Of These Nights", Leon's weight trainer glove disappears from his hand in the close up of him showing Priss the video scan of the soldiers who are moving in to Tokyo to fight the boomer plague. See more

In the english-dubbed version of episode one (Can't Buy A Thrill) a scene where Priss was sitting alone on a pier was shortened. In the DVD release, this scene was returned to the original length, including Priss humming "I'll Be Waiting For You", the closing theme to the series. See more
