Storyline

Professor Sherman Klump is getting married. And the Klump family could not be more delighted for him. But Buddy Love, his Mr. Hyde alter-ego from the first film, is back and trying to make it on his own. Buddy keeps resurfacing in untimely outbursts, and threatening the portly professor's marriage plans to colleague Denise Gaines. Utilizing Denise's cutting-edge DNA research, Sherman decides to rid himself of his monstrous nemesis -and his disruptive outbursts-once and for all by extracting Buddy's DNA from his system. But Buddy bursts full-bodied into Sherman's world and lays claim to the professor's astounding invention - a revolutionary youth serum. Desperate to keep it from Buddy, Sherman hides the serum in the Klump family home, thinking it will be safe. Buddy correctly divines where Sherman has placed the serum, but to get it, he has to deal with the entire Klump family first. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

Janet Jackson as Denise Gaines. Gaines replaces Sherman's girlfriend in the first film, Carla Purty, because the actress who played her, Jada Pinkett, left due to marrying Will Smith, her pregnancy, and later her signing on to the sequels to The Matrix. But Purty is mentioned to be just a friend. See more »

Quotes

Buddy Love: Sherman Klump. Well, you still eat those happy meals, you haven't changed a bit. You remember me, it's Buddy Love, we both used to chase that girl Carla at the same time.
Sherman Klump: Miss Purty and I were just friends.
Buddy Love: Just friends, huh?
[Looks at Denise]
Buddy Love: Well, who's your new friend? Oh you're fine. What's your name?

Oh - go on. Let's all throw some custard pies...
31 October 2001 | by Edu-16See all my reviews

Plot - dreadful Script - dire The film in general is of course terrible.

But.... Im sorry, I laughed, and laughed alot. I probably need councilling or something, maybe ECT ? Possibly, but Klumps is funny. Eddie Murphy is an exceptionally talented man - no doubts. If for no other reason, see this one just to watch him go to work.

Maybe one day he'll land a role like Alec Guiness in 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' (Barry Norman's favourite film btw)....which I probably need to go out and rent asap - by way of an antedote....
