Storyline

An upper middleclass teen and his moms world are turned upside down when an ugly divorce forces them to give up their comfortable lifestyle in exchange for trouble they have never quite known. After moving to a less than desirable neighborhood, the teenage boy is introduced to a lifestyle that outweighs what he was brought up in. The local toughs and the femme fatale that leads them, take him under their wing only to bring havoc and harm to anything he considers sacred, including his new girlfriend. When push comes to shove," James" seeks the internet and learns handgun tactics to exact revenge on the local gang. What ensues is a boys rage that turns him into a killing machine. Dynamite!!!
6 April 2004 | by OpencitySee all my reviews

A prescient, disturbing film that forecast both the rise in teen gun violence of the Columbine variety and the destructive power of the Internet on impressionable young people. This indie production was clearly ahead of its time. Sadly, it did not receive the level of attention it deserved when it was in theatrical release. Hopefully, it can find a new audience via DVD. Stuart Alson, executive director of the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival, dubbed "A Packing Suburbia" as "the most controversial film about American youth today since the film 'Kids.'" Mr. Alson also is quoted as saying he thought it was of the best films he has ever seen in his festival. He wasn't half-wrong -- this is a great movie.
