Attendees coming out to Harlinsdale Farm September 21st and 22nd got dust and punishing heat instead, along with performances from the Foo Fighters, Keith Urban, the Killers, and Jenny Lewis, among others. From Dave Grohl’s guitar heroics to Jenny Lewis sequin-covered set, here are the best things we saw at Pilgrimage 2019.

Flashback: Jackson Browne Performs a Heart-Wrenching ‘Late for the Sky’ in 1976
Jackson Browne’s 1976 was a tumultuous one. In February, his emotive ballad “Late for the Sky” was featured in Taxi Driver, during a scene in which Robert De Niro watches American Bandstand shortly after shooting a man in a bodega. In March, while Browne was in the studio cutting The Pretender, his wife Phyllis Major fatally overdosed on barbiturates. “Here Come Those Tears Again,” a devastating song co-written by Major’s mother, was included on the album.

To promote The Pretender, Browne appeared on the television series Soundstage, performing tracks

2018 Grammys predictions: Legendary Leonard Cohen will finally win more than a year after his death
The 2017 Grammy for Best Rock Performance was awarded posthumously to David Bowie for “Blackstar.” In 2018 it looks like there will be another posthumous winner in the very same category, There are two artists in contention who died before these nominations were announced, and according to our latest predictions one of them will win: Leonard Cohen or Chris Cornell.

Cohen died in November 2016 at age 82, but not before releasing his 14th and final album, “You Want it Darker.” He’s up for Best Rock Performance for the title track, and he gets leading odds of 8/13 to prevail. Those odds are based on the combined forecasts of more than 1,800 users who have entered their picks in our predictions center so far. Friday The 13th TV Series Not Moving Forward at The CW

The CW won’t be heading to Camp Crystal Lake after all, as it has been confirmed that the previously in-development Friday the 13th series is no longer moving forward at the network.

Initially in development at The CW since last year, the Friday the 13th TV series, tentatively titled Crystal Lake Chronicles, was discussed at the Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation in Beverly Hills. According to EW, here’s what CW president Mark Pedowitz had to say about the series, which showed promise with its pilot but was not viewed as their best option for a longterm show:

The bottom line is we felt we had stronger things to go with, and we didn’t go forward with it. It was well-written, it was darker than we wanted it to be, and we didn’t believe it had sustainability … We didn’t believe that it was a sustainable script,

The 'Friday the 13th' TV series has gone to hell

  • Hitfix
Last August, former HitFix staffer Roth Cornet and I pondered the ways in which the CW's planned Friday the 13th TV series could potentially not suck. Turns out we needn't have bothered! At Thursday's Television Critics' Association, the network's president Mark Pedowitz revealed that the slasher spinoff series is as good as dead. “The bottom line is we felt we had stronger things to go with, and we didn’t go forward with it,” said Pedowitz (via EW). “It was well-written, it was darker than we wanted it to be, and we didn’t believe it had sustainability … We didn’t believe that it was a sustainable script, a sustainable series. It was a very good pilot, but not a sustainable series.” The show -- under the working title of Crystal Lake Chronicles -- would have taken a "meta" approach by setting the events in a world where the Friday
