MPAA Rated R for a substantial amount of strong violence, and for language

Sex & Nudity

  • A naked male rear is shown in a locker room scene.
  • Emilys underwear is shown briefly when she falls down the hole due to her short skirt.

Violence & Gore

  • "Sudden Death" is a very violent movie.
  • Most acts of violence are shootings, which range from being shown offscreen to gory closeups of bullet wounds.
  • Other acts of violence include a woman whose hand is burnt in a frying vat (we see a quick closeup of her burnt hand) and then she is strangled by a dishwasher; a helicoptor pilot falls several stories onto a car; a terrorist whose head is bashed into a block of dry ice and is then stabbed in the neck with a chicken bone; another terrorist is shot in the neck with a dart and another stabbed in the hand; one man is set on fire and we then see him badly and graphically burnt.

  • Some strong language, including at least 3 uses of the F word.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Alcohol consumption. Smoking that is integral to the plot of one scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Many innocent people are gunned down or threatened, including children.
  • There's one jump scare when a badly burnt man suddenly comes out of nowhere and attacks the main character.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Emily nearly falls down a deep hole but Darren saves her at the last minute. This scene is suspenseful because she only 8 and we grow attached to her.
