  • John and Max take off together for the wedding but are sidetracked when they hear that Catfish Hunter is biting. While the church fills up with wedding guests and people start to wonder where they are, John and Max go angling for Catfish. When they finally reel him in, however, they throw him back in the water in honor of Grandpa "Pops" Gustafson (Burgess Meredith), who spent 20 years fishing for Catfish. They make it to the church just in time to see the wedding march: first Ariel (Ann-Margret), then Melanie (Daryl Hannah), and finally the bride Maria. Following the wedding, Max and Maria take off in their limo, only to find that John has put the chili-tooting dog Lucky in the car with them. In the final scene, as they head down the road, a sign appears announcing, "Ragetti's Fine Italian Dining...and Bait!" Edit
