The first time we see Goofy's map where he reveals it to Max, it has intended stops written all over it right along with the intended route line. Later, when Max sees it again and actually observes the whole intended route, all you see is just the intended route line. It is also unclear whether the stops are seen again later when the map is opened up to Goofy.

During the road trip, there is a pan on top of the wrapped up pile of camping essentials that Goofy has stringed up on the top of his car. It apparently gets knocked off once by him driving under a bridge, then however reappears back on the stack again later and gets knocked off again by him driving under a high sign of a motel inn.

In the first screen shot of the interior of Goofy's car, there is no cassette in the radio's tape deck. However, after Goofy and Max leave for the trip, there is a tape until it shows Max playing air guitar to the rock music on the radio. In the shot after that, there is no longer a tape in the radio until Goofy puts the tape of "High Hopes" into the radio in the same shot. After the radio breaks, it shows that the tape is completely mangled and there is smoke rising from the broken radio. However, in every shot after that, there is no longer a tape, and the radio appears completely intact.

Factual errors

After observing Goofy's map, when Max erases the line and redraws one towards LA at the junction line using a pencil that was with it in the glove compartment, he is able to erase and redraw the line on the map without any trouble. In reality, you can't draw on single layered paper without anything firm enough under it easily without the pencil tearing right through it. Plus, on the contrary to this reality, as Max is attempting to redraw the line, the pencil head breaks, which can only happen on a hard surface.

When Goofy puts the 8-track cassette of "High Hopes" in the radio, he pushes the button on his side of the radio to start "High Hopes" playing. However, in real life, an 8-track tape starts playing directly after it is put in, so Goofy wouldn't have had to push the button to start the tape.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Somehow, Goofy knew where Roxanne lived without Max ever telling him.

He could have remembered from earlier before they left for the vacation or max may have directed him on where to go since all we see is them pull up to the house.

Revealing mistakes

During "After today" when we see Roxanne walking past Max her reflection can be seen in the window. But her reflection has a mole, and it's the right side of her face that would be reflected in the window. And she only has a mole on the left side of her face.
