This movie follows in the steps of ghost themed HK movies that were popular (and still is) during the early '90s. Cat 3 movies had many erotic ghost themed movies of which many were surprisingly well made. This series apparently were one of them, because three episodes were created in sequence.
Out of the three in the series, this one is best produced and has the most coherent story plot to it. Casts were all popular actors of the time, which ensured that this isn't just another skin flick, but is actually a pretty good adventure tale as well.
I'm not sure what the working relations were, but this movie has few Japanese names in the producer, and actor credits. This was not unusual back then, as many Japanese actors were "moonlighting" in HK cinema back then.
Out of many Cat 3 films, this one is one of the better made movies, as well as ghost themed movies of the time. If you're going to watch one out of this series, this is the one most worth viewing.
