Isolated by his strange parents, Leon finds solace in an imaginary friend, which happens to be an anatomy doll from his father's doctor office. Unfortunately, the doll begins to take over Leon's life, and his sister's life as well.
An intelligent pulse of electricity is moving from house to house. It terrorizes the occupants by taking control of the appliances, either killing them or causing them to wreck the house in an effort to destroy it. Then it travels along the power lines to the next house, and the terror restarts. Having thus wrecked one household in a quiet neighbourhood, the pulse finds itself in the home of a boy's divorced father whom he is visiting. It gradually takes control of everything, badly injures the stepmother, and traps father and son, who must fight their way out.Written by

When David enters the house across the street, an inner wall electrical box with metal conduit is seen on the exterior of a wall in a first floor room on top of the charred wallpaper. See more »
And when she turned it on it shot that metal thing right up into her face, shot it up just like a gun. Isn't that bad? It shot it up right through her eyeball!

When the Columbia Pictures logo is shown before the movie starts, there's the rather distinct sound of a flame burst which is dubbed into the soundtrack as the torch on the Columbia logo ignites. This is a reference to the Pulse in the film taking control. See more »
If you have 90 minutes to subject yourself to the most boring, incoherent plot then this is your movie. Yes electricity was supposed to be the main subject matter but somehow this electrical energy was able to shut and lock doors. Not a likely situation. The movie did have some value, if it wasn't for Roxanne Hart a very worthy redhead i would have thrown the video across the room before my mind melted from boredom. It seemed as though there was a budget for this pathetic excuse for a movie and that actually made it worse if that was possible. I don't see this movie fitting under the horror movie category seeing as there was no gore,no real darkness, no cultish humor that sometimes exists in horror movies. Definitely lacked the thrills to be a thriller besides being insulted by the attempt at suspense. I give this movie a 1-of-10 only because sound was at least fair, and there was at least a decent woman to help me through the lack of mental stimulation.
