Boom mic visible
When Leatherface and Chop-Top are leaving the radio station, Stretch walks out the room saying "they can't get away..." If you look to the wall to the right of her as she walks out the room you can see the shadow of the boom moving across.
When Stretch is telling LG to cut the phone line he says to her "dammit, I'm trying darling" and you can see the boom reflected in the glass screen between them.
Character error
At the very beginning of the movie the Narrator is telling the story of what happened in the original movie. He states the group was driving a Volkswagon van when they encountered the killers. That is not true; they were driving a Ford Econoline Van.
Continuity
Lefty walks into the chainsaw shop and lays his sunglasses down on the stump before laying out his money. The glasses are lens down on the stump. Then after Lefty sets down the first saw on the stump he turns to get another saw and the glasses are now upside down with the lenses towards the camera. After he picks up the two smaller saws, the shot changes back to show the stump again and the glasses are back to being lens down like they started.
At the beginning, when the two guys in the car are shooting signs, two holes appear in the Mesquite/Dallas sign, but only one shot is fired from the single-barreled gun.
As Chop-Top scratches his head with the coat hanger, it switches position from his hair to out in front of him a couple of times when the angle switches.
At the beginning when the two guys are driving and shooting at road signs, on the passenger side of the car there is a side view mirror which appears and disappears many times from scene to scene.
When Stretch gives Chop-Top the radio station tour she shows him a lamp, but he quickly knocks it out of her hands and it falls onto the floor. But a minute or so later when Leatherface first appears, the lamp is not on the floor and has disappeared.
(at around 13 mins) We see a truck with a prefabricated home on the back of it, which immediately disappears in the next shot.
When Lefty is at the site of the car crash, a blue RV is visible in the background, driving slowly down the road. In the next shot, it has disappeared.
At various times throughout the movie, the characters say the events in the first film took place either 12 or 13 or 14 years ago.
Crew or equipment visible
After Lefty starts up the big chainsaw at the store, he lifts up the saw and swings it around. As he does this, the film crew is visible in the reflection of his dark sunglasses.
When Stretch is being chased by Lefty in his car, in one shot right before she runs to safety in the metal structure, a camera man's shadow can be seen following her.
(at around 13 mins) Lighting equipment is reflected on the side of Lefty's car.
Revealing mistakes
Obvious stunt double for Lefty when he uses the chainsaw to slice the big log.
At the beginning, the two guys in the car shoot a wooden support; you can see where the already weakened point is in the support, before they do so.
Lefty claims that one of the boys at the beginning of the film "sawed his own head off going 90 miles per hour." They clearly weren't driving nearly that fast.

Continuity
At the radio station, Stretch locks herself in a room to hide from Leatherface. At one point, however, Leatherface breaks into the room and uses his chainsaw to destroy a ceiling fan (which, by the way, was not turned on). But a short time later, if you watch the top of the screen very, very closely, you will see that the ceiling fan appears to not only be restored, but also turned on.
After the dinner scene, Lefty cuts Stretch loose and the newly split ropes are still tied to her; when Chop-Top is chasing her, the ropes are gone.
After Buzz gets half of his head sawed off by Leatherface, the amount of blood on his face changes in subsequent shots.
At the end of the bridge scene we hear the car crash. Later on, when it shows the crash site, the front of the car is facing away from the impact zone.
When Lefty and Leatherface fight on the big table, it is covered in food and rubbish. But in shots from under the table showing Drayton talking to himself, you can see through the planks of the table and light is streaming through them, revealing the table is not nearly as dirty as previously seen.
When Leatherface and Lefty fight, Lefty gets up onto the big table; Leatherface attacks him, causing Lefty to fall backwards onto the table. As Lefty falls backwards, he knocks the tall trophy that Drayton won earlier on in the film, off of the table. But in the next shot the trophy stands back up, proudly on the table again.
Stretch slices open Chop-Top's stomach and he then falls down the cliff. But as he rolls down his stomach is now untouched and also free of blood.
Crew or equipment visible
When Chop-Top is hitting L.G. with the hammer, Leatherface gets up off the floor. A crew member's hand is shown at the right side of the screen.
Right after Lefty crashes the dinner party, Stretch tries to escape. When she is first walking along the passageway, the shadow of the camera crew is visible along the screen left wall moving just ahead of her.
During the final fight, a crew member's hand can be seen in the upper left portion of the screen clearing cobwebs away from in front of the camera.
Revealing mistakes
During the chainsaw fight, with Leatherface and Lefty on the big table, it is very clear that the chainsaw blades are immobile and not running at all.
When Stretch gets the chainsaw from the old woman's corpse in the end, she turns it on and attacks one of the family members with it. Look at the chainsaw. The blades aren't moving, however, you can hear that the chainsaw is 'on', and the family member is still injured by the chainsaw with the unmoving blades.
