Trivia

(At around forty minutes) As Burgess pumps the pianola made by Schiedmayer & Söhne, Stuttgart, is playing an original Themodist roll number T82556, "Spanish Dances, Op. 12, No.3" by Moritz Moszkowski (1854-1925). The 65/88-note pianola was supplied by Rex Lawson, and it is now (2009) owned by a friend of his in Hackney, London, England. See more »

A charming film
14 July 2003 | by jmoore964See all my reviews

I saw this when it fist appeared on tv, and fell in love with it. An absolute delight, but sad at the same time. After many years I stumbled upon in on VHS, so can now watch it whenever I choose. Well worth watching! Browne and Bates are stunning.
