Storyline

Comedian Bill Cosby brings down the house to an audience in Ontario, Canada in a two-hour show where he pontificates on several subjects, such as drugs, drunkeness, and the follies of dentists, before launching into his primary subject matter, the hilariously pernicious antics of his family, from childbirth to college football to enduring a noisy four-year-old on a transcontinental flight to his son's bizarre hairdos to his wife's marginally restrained reaction to a childrens' squabble over the right to shower to his own father's nicknames to himself and his brother Russell. Quotes

Bill Cosby: [when his wife sees that he has given the kids cake for breakfast] I've always heard about people having a conniption but I've never seen one. You don't want to see 'em. My wife's face... split. My wife's face split, and the skin and hair split and came off of her face so that there was nothing except the skull. And orange light came out of her hair and there was glitter all around. And fire shot from her eye sockets and began to burn my stomach and she said, "WHERE DID THEY GET CHOCOLATE CAKE ...

Crazy Credits

The opening credits show photos of his children. Initially done in silence, later releases of the movie included a song in the background; for VHS recordings was a song called "It Was a Good Idea at the Time", while DVD releases had a song sung by Cosby himself called "Just the Slew of Us" See more »

Alternate Versions

Some video versions of the movie begin and end with the song "It Was a Good Idea At the Time." The version generally shown on television does not. Other prints of the film, such as the one that is on the DVD, begin and end with Bill Cosby singing "Just the Slew of Us," a parody of Grover Washington Jr.'s "Just the Two of us." See more »

I don't knoooooow
18 November 2017 | by smatysiaSee all my reviews

Bill Cosby appears to be in his dotage these days, but 35 years ago he was a master at his craft. Comedy concert movies are never as good to re-watch, when you've already heard the jokes. But this one was still fun, in spite of that. On a first viewing it is hilarious. I'm not sure any of the current accusations go back quite this far, so maybe he wasn't quite a perv then, when this was performed/filmed, in Canada. If you've never seen it, do.
