confusing but creepy
15 May 2001 | by thomandybishSee all my reviews

Not sure exactly what's going in this film, although Katherine Ross is good as unwitting young architect who gets sucked into a weird vortex of the occult. Something about Ross and boyfriend Sam Elliot being whisked off to an English manor after an impromptu motorcycle accident. They encounter a motley assortment of rich and famous people, all somehow linked to the mysterious Mr. Mountolive who owns the house. All the people begin dying in horrible ways, with just Maggie and her friend left. Not quite sure what's up, but it does have great atmosphere and some hair-raising sequences. Watch this one back to back with THE SENTINEL for a cracking, creepy good time!
